Program Support Specialist II - 20-017

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW OPPORTUNITY for a Program Support Specialist II.

Job Description:

This administrative position will be responsible for supporting aspects of the research and development process. Will work under the oversight of senior administrators, engineers and project leads. Will be required to manage and oversee portions of the manufacturing process, including work orders and manufacturing procedures, as well as assist with build orders and test coordination.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and manage the work order process from start to finish.
    • Receive and proof-read work order requests from project members.
    • Review and release work orders for work to be performed by engineers and techs.
      • Interface with cognizant engineer to ensure accurate documentation of work performed.
    • Receive and review closed work orders for proper documentation and thorough completion.
      • Ensure all required attachments have been provided and transfer applicable data to related project files.
    • Maintain project work order log and scan closed work order for archive.
  • Document manufacturing procedures.
    • Observe and interview project engineers and technicians to capture and document detailed manufacturing processes.
    • Create official manufacturing procedures based on instructions, observations and written notes.
    • Work with project team members to finalize official procedures for release.
  • Develop, maintain and improve specific processes for the management of project work orders and manufacturing procedures.
  • Assist engineers with the build order process by compiling drawing packages and liaising with external contractors as needed. 
  • Assist with project test coordination and approval efforts on an as needed basis.
  • Crosstrain into additional administrative tasks to provide backup for other project support personnel as needed.
  • Support data entry, scanning, archiving and record keeping in various aspects of the project
    • Work orders, test records, data sheets, personnel certifications and trainings, etc.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and proactive.
  • Ability to switch from one task to another in a moment's notice and multitask if required.
  • Needs to work well with others and be able to communicate and understand verbal or written instructions.
  • Asks for help or clarity on instructions given if unsure how to proceed.
  • Capable of interacting with the customer or their peers with professionalism.
  • Average physical mobility to move around an office or plant environment and the ability to lift 30 lbs.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
