Job Description:
DoD 8570.01-M (IAWF) requirement is IAT level II; must meet this qualification on first day of employment.
This position could be either a first or second shift position.
Contractor will provide subject matter expertise in the deployment and implementation of MS Windows server operating systems and application software:
a) Software installation, upgrades, patches, and configuration support ensuring IA/C&A compliance.
b) DNS configuration control and support.
c) Assistance in configuration and maintenance of DHCP and Active Directory structure and group policies.
d) Configuration and administration support for NCDOC email exchange and user accounts.
e) Application support for NCDOC list server for dispersion of advisories and other time sensitive subscription based messages.
f) Subject matter expertise in the deployment and implementation of operating systems and application software.
g) Track and resolve all AIS Trouble Tickets. Interact with users to identify and resolve user requirements.
h) Application support for various systems tools and utilities.
i) Provide and maintain offsite storage of tape backups.

Job Requirements:
Security Systems Engineer I:
Minimum: Two years of experience providing security systems engineering support, similar to that described under functional responsibility, and having knowledge and understanding of applicable technical concepts and practices. Requires compliance with DoD 8570 certification requirements (IAT Level II).
Functional Responsibility: Achieves and maintains protection of classified and/or sensitive information through security surveys and computer network testing. Performs analysis of systems, capabilities, processes, procedures, architectures, networks, and communications to define and recommend improvements or alternatives. Prepares high level, technical reports to illustrate improved operations and recommendations. Performs analytical tasking.
