Cybersecurity Engineer IV 17-059

Job Description:

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has a NEW OPENING for a Cybersecurity Engineer IV.

The Cybersecurity Engineer IV will prepare Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO) for a Navy System. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop Interim Authority to Test (IATT) packages as required to support testing and experimentation for Navy Systems.
  • Draft Data Owners Guidance and Information Exchange requirements supporting Cross Domain Solution.
  • Conduct Cyber Security testing using ACAS, SCAP and DISA STIGs on both Windows and Linux environment to support C&A activities.


Total Years of Related Experience for Position:  12+ years of IT experience and 8+ years of Cybersecurity experience


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 12+ years of IT experience and 8+ years of Cybersecurity experience.
  • CISSP or equivalent DoD 8570.1 IAM Level III certification.
  • Fully Qualified Navy Validator (FQNV) or NQV preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Some working knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems, CISCO routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure devices.
  • Experience with eMass required.
  • Experience with DIACAP and/or RMF process required.
  • Experience with Cross Domain Solution (CDS) accreditation preferred.
  • Experience with ACAS, DISA STIGS and SCAP required.
  • Experience developing Certification and Accreditation Plans/System Security Plans required.
  • Must have solid analytical skills to troubleshoot high-level, complex, technical problems
  • Knowledge of DOD, DISA, and NIST Information Assurance policies required.
  • Some travel required (<10%).
  • TS/SCI clearance preferred or Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

 An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Top Secret/SCI security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
