Systems Engineer IV 18-052

Job Description:

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has a NEW OPENING for a Systems Engineer IV. 

Develop a System of Systems Test Strategy (SoSTS) document for U.S. Navy evaluation of the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) version 2.0.  The SoSTS will identify Navy scope, roles and responsibilities in developing the overall JRSS v2.0 IOT&E. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Development of the overall test objectives; test program management and schedule; test and evaluation strategy; evaluation framework; development and operational test approaches; and resources required to provide a comprehensive evaluation of JRSS v2.0 capabilities.
  • Development of the SoSTS in collaboration with key JRSS stakeholders, including DoD CIO, DISA JRSS program management office (PMO), JITC, DOT&E, and other Service Components (Army, AF, Marines, USCG).


Total Years of Related Experience for Position: 8-16 years of Systems Test Engineering experience


Job Requirements:         

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, IT or science related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Network + and/or equivalent network certification preferred.
  • Moderate network engineering knowledge desirable.
  • Strong systems of systems test engineering experience and knowledge of DoD acquisition program test and evaluation processes.
  • Experience developing test planning documentation for DoD acquisition programs required.
  • Experience developing test and evaluation strategy (TES) documents and/or test and evaluation master plans (TEMP) in support of DoD acquisition programs preferred.
  • Experience developing engineering documents (e.g., systems engineering plan [SEP]) in support of DoD acquisition programs desirable.
  • Experience leading diverse technical working groups required.
  • Experience leading test planning working groups for DoD acquisition programs preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office for program management required.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities required
  • Active Secret Clearance required with ability to obtain TS/SCI; active TS/SCI preferred.



An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
