Cybersecurity Engineer III - 18-065

Job Description:

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has a NEW OPENING for a Cybersecurity Engineer III who will provide CyberSecurity Engineering and Risk Management Framework Support to a Navy program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing engineering design to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 security controls and DoD/DoN policies.
  • Develop System Security Plans
  • Develop and review RMF policies and procedure documentation
  • Work with system engineers and developers to ensure the system complies with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Results and Industry Best business practices.
  • Conduct Security assessments in accordance with Navy Guidance
  • Develop Risk Assessment Reports and Security POA&M.
  • Provide data entry of RMF artifacts into e-Mass.
  • Work with the validator to ensure the RMF package meets DoD/DoN requirements.

Total Years of Related Experience for Position: 8+ years of experience

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or four years of related work experience)
  • Current Security+ certification or other DoDD 8140 IAT/IAM Level III certification
  • Experience working with e-Mass Required
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) or DIACAP C&A packages required
  • Good working knowledge of Windows OS, network devices and supporting infrastructure
  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot high-level, complex, technical problems
  • Experience developing System Security plans required. Experience conducting security assessments, developing Risk Assessment Reports and Security POA&M required. Experience developing risk migitation statements. Experience running DISA STIGs, SCAP, STIG Viewer, Vulnerator and ACAS (Nessus) preferred. Experience working with Excel. Knowledge of Navy environments preferred. Ability to work with a team environment. Excellent verbal and writing skills.  

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
