Job Description:

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has a NEW OPENING for a Program Manager. 

Responsibilities include:

Provides top-level leadership and may supervise two or more programs/projects and staff at multiple geographic sites.  Formulates and enforces work standards; and solves complex technical, administrative, financial and management problems. Serves as top-level interface with Government Management personnel, as well as AUSGAR Senior Management.  Motivate and lead cross-functional teams.

 Essential Job Functions and Duties:

  • Manage and direct all phases of multiple programs from requirements analysis, initial planning through to successful product delivery, client interaction and contract close out.
  • Participates in the development of new business growth strategies.
  • Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs; allocates the appropriate resources.
  • Define scope, goals and deliverables that support company objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external customer relationships.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise employees and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Total Years of Related Experience for Position: 10+ years of experience

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related, or equivalent 10+ years of management and supervisory experience with respect to technical programs/projects. 10+ years recent, relevant experience in project/program management.
  • Active, US Secret clearance required.
  • 10+ years' experience DoD project management experience to include management of contracts.
  • Experience and proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in written and verbal formats.
  • Experience and proven ability to work in cross-group collaborative team environments and matrix organizations.
  • Ability to work and execute the program life cycle of complex projects dealing with all components of planning, execution, management, reporting, and customer interaction.
  • Extensive experience managing government contracts.
  • Prior DoD acquisition program or government project management experience.
  • Prior experience working with multiple diverse disciplines and managing distributed workforce.
  • Prior experience in business development and contract proposals.

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Defense industry experience is preferred.
  • DAWIA Level II Cert in Program Management or Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent courses from DAU level I and II DAWIA Program Management Certification.
  • Contract Management training or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity/experience with Cyber Security program requirements is a plus.
  • Contract Management training or equivalent years of relevant experience.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
